  3. While on my xmas trip I did a bit of bear studies. Even though they’re very generic little drawings it helped me get a better feel of their joints and weight. Also, three little bunny heads :D

  9. So I’ve been thinking about changing sona for a while now. I thought I as just going through a stage but I couldn’t help but keep thinking about it. I’ve mostly been juggling around deer, bear, and bunny. my last two sonas, before the current one were bunnies and my room is littered with the freaking adorable animal. Anyway, here’s one possible design.
I choose these colors because they can easily be replicated for a suit ( ivory, beige, camel, brown) and I love browns and greens. I didn’t want a dark scheme because that just doesn’t feel like me, that’s why I scratched black bear off the board ( even though I love them )I choose to put her spots over her right eye and right hand because well…my left side is crap. My left eye can’t see worth anything and I think the left hand is self explanatory. (I’m right handed, yay!) I chose to give her wings because I love flying ( obviously on an airplane…not…actual flying…) and it has always been a part of my life. We would travel back and forth from Pennsylvania to Florida a lot because of family etc. I almost even cried looking at the beautiful skies on my way up to AnthroCon this year. I love you nature :’)
I liked the idea of giving her an accessory (which will be optional) so I added a Jade Tibetan Buddhist prayer bead necklace I own. Jade is my favorite stone, and I’ve always admired the teachings of buddhism. ( though I am personally not a buddhist )

I guess that’s all I have to tell for now. I’m going to play with her a bit, because I’m afraid her design might be too complicated for a sona. Sonas are nice to have with simplicity, to be able to be drawn quickly. I dunno I’ll play around with it. Yup.
